The Professional Insurance Ladies Association (PILA)

The Professional Insurance Ladies Association, founded in 1974 is the oldest women's professional body in Nigeria. It is a non-political and non-profit making body, which started as lunchtime get together forum of professional insurance ladies in Nigeria.

Objectives of PILA

1. To promote forthrightness, good ethical conduct and professionalism in the Insurance Industry and to promote and enhance the image of women in the Industry.
2. To provide an open forum for the discussion of all matters affecting women in the Insurance Industry.
3. To work hand in hand with the CIIN and other related Insurance bodies e.g. NCRIB, ICAN and NIA to create a better image for the insurance profession.
4. To consult and cooperate with other women bodies/Associations in Nigeria.
5. To educate youths on the advantages and benefits of Insurance and making a career of Insurance.
